One day I BOUGHT A CAMERA…

That was many, many moons ago. I had no idea what I was doing but after I started taking pictures I realized I’d been doing it my whole life. I just didn’t have a camera. Yet.

My name is Kelly and I’m very happy you’ve stopped by. Fitzgerald Manor is a space where you can find my work and also follow along on my adventures.

As a photographer, I love working with clients to create content for their brands and projects. I also love capturing special moments in everyday life that will become memories for years to come.

A Richmonder since 1986, my life really, trully began in 2009 when I bought my beloved 407 1/2 N. 27th Street in Church Hill. I picked up my Peek-a-Poo, Miss Austen, the same day I moved in and both helped give me the courage to publish my photos and musings on my first website, Austen Hill.

In 2021, I moved to the Brookland Park neighborhood of RVA. 12 years with only one bathroom can make any girl start to dream. After Miss Austen passed just shy of 14 I was lucky enough to find my Moira, the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier. She keeps me company, is the life of the party, and reminds me I’m not as young as I used to be.

Life has many twists and turns and rarely turns out how we think it will. We have to make our own way and our own happiness. Fitzgerald Manor is my little corner of the world and it makes me happy.

When I’m not looking for the perfect shot I’m a Lobbyist covering the Virginia General Assembly and sing in RVA band, Sweet Lonesome. I also serve on the boards of local non-profit organizations Capitol Trees and Childsavers.

My porch is always open for a glass of wine…..
